So, have you finalized your plans for a summer vacation, big or little? If you are like most people you have been looking forward to this break for the entire year and it is most likely well deserved so start planning if you haven't already.

If you are short on ideas you may want to consider a home swap. No, not like Wife Swap on TV where only one of you goes and actually lives with another family. (I don't know about you but that seems a little scary to me, what if you decided you never wanted to go home?). This is where you actually swap homes with someone in an area you want to visit.

Believe it or not there are people that live in places that you may want to visit such as Italy or France that would love to visit the United States. There are several different ways this can be done; you can start by just typing in Vacation Home Exchange on the Internet and check out the sites. There are several well-known companies and travel agencies that have many such programs available. If you already have a travel agent that you use check with them, most often these programs are checked and double checked to make sure everything is on the up and up to avoid any problems. There are also people that you can speak with that have done this and are willing to talk about their experiences. Who knows, you may enjoy it so much that you make it your annual vacation and will visit places that you have always wanted to see.

Just remember to check on travel requirements for the area you are planning to visit. There have been many changes to the passport laws and it can be difficult keeping up with them. By checking first you will avoid any unnecessary delays or complications. Bon Voyage!

I was pleased to see your post suggesting your readers consider a house swap for the summer (or any time!) Home exchange makes destinations that may otherwise seem prohibitively expensive, affordable (such as my city, London).

I hope you will check out our service (we've been operating Home Base Holidays since 1985) and, for more information, our blog, Travel the Home Exchange Way.

Cheers from sunny London,
Lois

Homeforswap.com is a unique website that allows homeowners and renters to swap their residence for a one of a kind vacation.

With the rising cost of vacations, www.homeforswap.com allows its members to save what they would normally pay for a hotel stay, by exchanging homes with other members. Not only do you save big money, you also get a vacation from a local’s point of view. You get submerged into the culture, meet the residence, eat at local favorite spots, and learn local secrets. Save even
more by eating in the kitchen, something your hotel room does not offer.

Simple, Quick, and Secure

After a quick member registration you are ready to plan your first home exchange. We have made Homeforswap.com secure so you exchange information with other members without having to exchange private contact details, until you are ready.

How Does it Work?

First you find a place you have always wanted to visit. Then you browse the home listings at
www.homeforswap.com. With the click of a button you send the member a private message and you are on your way to planning your next vacation.

HomeForSwap Community

Successful home exchanges are communities and homeforswap.com accomplishes this
with our feedback system. Our Feedback system allows users to leave feedback about their exchange experience with another member. We also offer helpful advice on how to make your first home exchange.

So if you are ready to travel the world, and make some new friends, give a home exchange a try!
